Welcome to Prost Amerika's film site. This is your central point for all our film content. Here you can find all the latest news in the growing Seattle film news community, plus links to our film reviews in both English and German, and our film-related interviews.
Our Seattle Film News page will provide you with all the latest goings-on in the increasingly influential world of Seattle Film. The page will keep you up to date with all the latest from SIFF Cinema, the Northwest Film Forum, the latest releases from Video Isle, news of what the movers and shakers in Seattle Film are doing, film festivals in the area, and jobs in film. We also have a links resource section. Please contact us if you want to swap links with us.
Prost Amerika recognizes the incredible talent in Seattle's filmmaking community and the sophistication of our filmgoing public. Our aim is to make Seattle the 'Nashville of Film." Please join us by sending us information, reading our page and supporting film in Seattle however you can.
Second, Prost Amerika is an IMDB-accredited film reviewer that provides reviews in English and German. If you have made a film and would like to add an external review, please contact us. We guarantee to provide one for any film that was made in Washington State, has contributed to the Washington State economy or was made by a native or resident of our state. But don't be shy about asking if you're from elsewhere!
Thirdly, you'll find film related competitions here. There are many tickets and memberships to be won so make sure you join our mailing list to be kept up to date with what's on offer. We also have competitions for other arts and cultural organizations in Seattle, such as the Pacific Northwest Ballet and the Seattle Rep Theater, so keep in touch. More and more will be added throughout 2008.
Occasionally we will publish interviews with leading film personalities. Recently, we spoke with Lacey Leavitt and Megan Griffiths of "The Off Hours", two of Seattle's finest young filmmakers. We have also interviewed French documentarian Alexandre Dereims and SIFF's new CHief Marketing Officer, as well as Senator Lisa Brown, founder of WashingtonFilmWorks, and we hope to periodically add more.
So if you have anything to tell us, let us know on film@prostamerika.com and don't forget to bookmark this site.
